Damiana Leaves Herb
Damiana (Turnera diffusa) is a small shrub native to the warm regions of the Americas, including southern Texas, Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean. It has been traditionally used for centuries in herbal medicine by indigenous cultures for its potential to support overall well-being, serving as a herbal remedy and aphrodisiac.
When prepared as a tea, Damiana leaves produce a light, earthy infusion with a subtly sweet and herbaceous flavor. Historically, Damiana has been associated with its potential to enhance mood, promote relaxation, digestive support, relief from menstrual symptoms, and is mildly stimulating.
USAGE
To prepare the Damiana leaves, steep around 1-2 teaspoons of leaves in hot (not boiling) water for 5-7 minutes. Sweeten with honey or sip as it is.
