This product is offered as one ceremonial cacao, available in three distinct single-origin expressions, each sourced from a different Maya region and carrying its own sensory and energetic character.

All three origins are made from 100% pure ceremonial cacao, ethically and organically sourced from indigenous Maya family farmers, stone-ground from whole cacao beans, and prepared without refined sugar, dairy, emulsifiers, or additives. What differs between them is the land, the ecosystem, and the cultural lineage that shapes each cacao’s taste, texture, and experience.

One cacao, three origins

Each origin is offered as a 100-gram ceremonial cacao disc, suitable for cacao ceremonies, rituals, and mindful daily moments of presence and connection. The discs are designed to be easily divided into approximately ten servings of 10 grams each.

Cacao is approached here as a ritual rather than a routine: prepared slowly, consciously, and with intention. This form honors cacao in its most traditional state, allowing its origin to be fully felt and experienced.

Our Origins

Maya Mountains, Belize

Sourced from indigenous Mopan and Q’eqchi’ Maya family farmers, this cacao comes from the biodiverse forest gardens of the Maya Mountains in Belize. Here, cacao has been cultivated for thousands of years using ancestral knowledge, ceremony, and deep respect for the land.

This origin is known for its soft, creamy texture and naturally rounded flavor. It carries a gentle, heart-centered quality that feels soothing and expansive, making it well suited for ceremonial use, meditation, and moments of emotional openness.

Laguna Lachuá, Guatemala

Grown in the tropical rainforest surrounding Laguna Lachuá, this cacao is cultivated by Q’eqchi’ Maya families who steward one of Guatemala’s most ecologically vibrant regions. Cacao is grown alongside honey, cardamom, and native crops within highly biodiverse agroforestry systems.

This origin has a brighter, more uplifting character, with fresh acidity and layered depth. It is often experienced as energizing yet balanced, supporting clarity, movement, and creative flow.

Alta Verapaz, Guatemala

High in the misty cloud forests of Alta Verapaz, cacao is cultivated by Q’eqchi’ and Poqomchi’ Maya communities whose ceremonial relationship with cacao is deeply woven into the spiritual history of the land. This region is referenced in the Popol Vuh and remains a place where cacao is grown with reverence, patience, and prayer.

This cacao is more intense and full-bodied, with a deep, spiced character. It is often experienced as grounding and activating at the same time, making it well suited for ritual work that calls for strength, focus, and embodied presence.

100% Pure Ceremonial Cacao

All Natural cacao discs are made from a rare Criollo cacao variety traditionally cultivated by Maya communities and valued for its refined character and cultural significance. Beans are hand-selected, sun-dried, and stone-ground into cacao paste before being shaped into discs.

Each batch is ethically and organically sourced at a fair, premium price to support indigenous livelihoods and cultural continuity. The cacao is stone-ground, processed, and packaged in the Netherlands by a social workshop that supports people with physical or mental disabilities.
